PJV Quickie: I feel like Jessica Clare's "Games" series is one of the best-kept secrets in Romancelandia - this is such a fun, sexy series; I just can't get enough of it!

Review:
Zara Pritchard was an Olympic ice-skater whose star has fallen very, very far. At the 2002 Olympic Games, she was a shoe-in for the gold, a cocky 14-year-old with an amazing career ahead of her. Then she fell during her performance, walked off the ice, and flipped off the audience when they booed her. Needless to say, she lost all her endorsements and her coach, and now she's a has-been who gives skating lessons to 4-6 year-olds at the local rink and skates around in a dinosaur costume for extra cash. When one of the skaters onIce Dancing with the Stars gets pregnant, the show invites Zara to fill in.

Ty Randall is a MMA fighter who recently had a bit of bad publicity due to the fact that he bit an opponent's nose in his last fight, earning himself the nickname "Ty the MMA Biter". His agent is working on image control and decided Ice Dancing with the Stars was a good place to start. Ty is not interested in doing the show and plans to `skate by' (<-heh, see what I did there?), doing as little as possible.

Zara is determined to win the competition and use this chance to revive her skating career, but Ty is not interested. Then, by way of an unfortunate accident, Ty reluctantly agrees to help Zara. The more time he spends with the feisty, talkative skater, the more he thinks maybe she's not so bad, and maybe, just maybe, they can win this thing.

I know I just did a review for book 2 in this series, Playing Games, but I feel like shouting from the rooftops what an awesome series this is - so cute, funny, and very sexy. I can't believe more people aren't raving about these books.

I thought Zara was a sympathetic heroine - she made a mistake at a young age and 10 years later is still paying for it. She's thrilled to be given this second chance and doesn't want to blow it. Her nervous chatter was cringe-worthy and I could totally relate. It took me a bit longer to warm up to Ty, but the more I read him the more I melted. I really liked them together - they didn't get off to a good start but as the story progresses their relationship moves along at a good, believable pace. Their personalities are different, yet similar, as they are both athletes with a competitive spirit: once Ty sees how things are stacked against them, suddenly he wants to win too.

There's quite a bit of humor in Ice Games - you can tell that Ty really, really doesn't want to wear sequins, and Zara is a *bit* superstitious. The bites at the beginning of each chapter were funny yet sweet. The Ice Dancing with the Stars setting was a fun way to throw these characters together, and I enjoyed the behind-the-scenes cattiness between all the characters - these skaters have been competing against each other for years and a TV show isn't going to change those relationship dynamics.

My only complaint is that it was too short - it was a fun read and I didn't want to stop!

Recommendations:
Ice Games is perfect for fans of sports-themed romance and/or MMA-fighter heroes, reality tv junkies, and contemporary romance fans. I don't watch reality tv and I have loved all three books in this series.

Ice Games Games series Book 3 edition by Jessica Clare Jill Myles Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

4.5 out of 5 stars! Two former high-end stars are trying to turn their pride-ruined careers into something better, while finding love in unexpected places. I really liked this duo. Zara and Ty are more alike then they'd like to admit at first when they meet but as they become friends during their time together sparks begin to fly and soon they both know it's not a question about if they'll get together but when!

This novel was spicy, intimate, fun, creative, and one I didn't want to end. Yet, even though I liked it, there were a few (not all) twists that I didn't enjoy and wish had happened a bit differently.

Overall, I would still recommend this novel to anyone who likes contemporary romances, especially ones about strong/fierce men showing off their steamy and tender sides.

This is the third book in the "Games" series. These are fun, quick romantic reads. All are based loosely on reality television. This one is Ice Dancing With The Stars.

Zara Pritchard, was a child prodigy. She was slated to win an Olympic Gold Medal and seal a fortune in endorsement deals. That is until her ego and her attitude got the best of her. She fell during her Olympic routine. And instead of finishing, she stomped off the ice giving the judges and the audience a rather undignified one fingered salute. Her career was over.

Now ten years later, she's struggling to make ends meet by teaching ice skating in the local mall. Until she gets a call to fill in on the T. V. show Ice Dancing With The Stars. Zara will do anything, to get her foot back in the door of professional skating.

Even team up with Ty Randall, MMA fighter. Who has recently earn himself the nickname of "Ty the MMA Biter", after a rather unfortunate incident in the ring where he bit off his opponent's nose. Yeah he needs lots of positive press. And if making a fool of himself on national TV will do it, so be it. He'll ice dance. But NO sequins!

I love this series. And can't wait for the next one.
ADORABLE!!! I love this reality tv series. Bk 3 is adorable, sassy and sexy. All the h's in this series are opinionated and mouthy....which I LOVE. Ice Games features an H/h both recovering from "what was I thinking?!?" mistakes in their chosen professions. Zara has a huge Olympic skating faux pas behind her. At 14 yrs old the Olympic darling walked off the ice after falling during competition and flipped off the crowd that booed her (LOL!). Not cool with worldwide TV coverage. Ty, an MMA fighter, has his own screw up. Although Zara's was in the past, Ty's was more recent (yea, he pulled a Mike Tyson on an opponent's nose...Eww!).

This bk features an "ice dancing" theme. With an array of B list celebs and various one time skating champs. Zara at 25 yrs, a fill in for the pregant skater chosen for the show, is hoping to have a 2nd chance. Ty, while less than enthused with his starring appearance, is being coerced by his manager to help revive his career with a seriously needed image makeover.

The tiny little health conscious, determined, competitive, control freak and the big badass fighter are incredibly fun going at it. Ty is worried about losing his man-card (he hates this girly gig) and Zara is determined to win the completion. Neither are happy with each other, which just makes this story all the more fun. After a bit of an "oops" accident, Zara has Ty just where she wants him and guilt's him into helping her win. Oh yea...opposites attract and things start to heat up and before long they begin eyeing each other as more than just skate partners. Things heat up slowly as the story plays out and oh is it worth it. Ty is one SEXY guy and he and inexperienced Zara together are sweet and HOT!

Just so darn cute! If you're looking for a fun, easy, light read, this is it! Jessica Clare (aka Jill Myles) can't wait for bk 4, Bedroom Games.
